Red Fog Cemetary (Lillith)

100 rooms · levels 15–28

Gloomy Cobblestone Road

As the red fog thickens, the air grows cold and swirls softly around. The gloomy night air chills the soul. The old, worn cobblestone path is covered by a web of cracks, bits of dry grass snapping in the breeze. Weeds grow between the pieces of cobblestone, pushing the stones apart. Small bugs, slugs, and snails ooze slowly between the stones.

Gloomy Cobblestone Road

As the red fog thickens, the air grows cold as it swirls softly around. The gloomy night air chills the soul. The old and worn cobblestone path crackles as bits of dry grass cracks under small bugs, slugs and snails as they slowly move in the growth. The pieces of cobblestone are pushed apart inch by inch as weeds push up through the stones. The cold night air chills the soul as echoes of screaming souls seem to whisper in the wind.

Broken Cobblestones

Time has allowed the weeds and grasses to grow so thick and strong that the cobblestones could not withstand them. Scattered and shattered the stones are strewn all around. The wind howls in silence as the fog swirls between the masses of broken stone.

Fog Thickens

The fog thickens and becomes an almost impregnable wall of cold, opaque crimson. It freezes the soul as its coldness reaches out with a death grip around all living things. The wind howls almost in silence, for even it cannot seem to break free of the red fog.

Olive Grove

There are the remains of a small house here, surrounded by a grove of olive trees. Standing by an old, crumbling tomb stone stands a very large and oddly shaped olive tree. This tree's roots spring up and around the pieces of stone, in what looks like a loving embrace. The fog slowly wisps gently through here. There are paths leading to the south and east. Off to the north can be seen an iron gate and fence, which pokes its way up and out of the thick, heavy, crimson fog.

Fork On The Cobblestone Road

As the trail heads north here, out of the fog can be seen a cemetery, where black gravestones stick ghoulishly out of the red fog that hangs thick in the air. The trail is very lonely, and a distant, horrible creaking echoes like a whisper through the trees. The wind howls and blows by, an icy caress. An old, weather-worn building can be seen off to the east a short distance away.

Small Pebble Path

The howling of the wind, whispers of the dead. The pebbles shift and twist as moss clings to them. The air is chilly as the fog, that ever present red fog, floats in quiet harmony with the moonless night sky.

Twisted Pebble Path

This path of overgrown pebbles and stones twists and turns its way east. There is moss clinging tightly to the stones, slowly growing up along the trees that line this path. An old, weather-worn shack lies to the south. The fog floats just a few inches above the path like a blanket of death.

Cobweb Filled Shed

Even in this old, worn, and weather-beaten shed the cold fog floats like a thick blanket. The fog inches its way through the cracks in the walls of the shed. There are many cobwebs hanging down, and one cannot move without breaking through their strands. There are millions of tiny, reddish spiders crawling all along the cobwebs, their eyes are a dull and dark red, seemingly to pierce to the very soul.

Back Of Shed

Was that movement underneath the thick red fog? The fog floats and moves softly, with an almost hypnotic effect. The back of the shed is a shamble. Whatever was stored here is now all but deteriorated into broken piles of unseemly trash. The walls seem alive, as small red spiders scurry across them, thriving on the coldness of the fog.

Stairwell

The cobwebs continue to get thicker and even more sticky to the touch. The air is still and chilly, the fog floats almost silently still. Red spiders crawl all about the room, what once was something maybe of value lies shattered and defiled on the floor. The howling of the wind is ever so still and the whispers of death scream and eat at the soul.

Upstairs Loft

The cobwebs almost fill the room. Thick and very sticky, and all along the webs are millions and millions of small, red spiders. The webbing itself still has bits of bone, flesh, cloth, metal, glass, and many other things stuck in it. What kind of creature could live here? What monstrosity hides in such a dark, sticky, and chilly place?

Twisted Overgrown Trail

The trail twists and turns through an overgrowth of plant life. The plants grow over the trail and up the sides of the small brick and iron fencing. The bricks of the trail are broken as the plants push their way up from underneath.

Twisted Path

The trail twists and turns in many directions as it moves northeast towards the large iron gate of the cemetery. The trees here have grown together, their limbs entwining in dark grace with each other. Some of the limbs seem to reach out and grab anything passing by. The red fog floats just a bit above ground level here.

Entrance to Red Fog Cemetery

A cobblestone path leads north towards the large iron gate. The path is old and broken, and the plants have grown wild and thrust up to trip and entangle all life. A few bones lie about, intertwined in the plants. The red fog floats swiftly down towards the entrance to this creepy place.

Large Iron Gate

A large iron gate looms out of the thick red swirling fog. It reaches up into the night sky and fades almost away. The fog seems to flow out from under the iron gate to engulf all in its cold sweet embrace. There are hideous granite statue heads of monsters resting on top of pillars which are connected to the iron gate. The iron gate has a large chain and padlock.

Vine Covered Archway

After passing through the locked iron gate, one is greeted by a large archway. The archway is covered with grotesque statues put here to ward off evil. The vines creep up from the earth to cover and smother old cracked granite.

Broken Headstones

There are many headstones and statues that are broken and almost totally destroyed. Something has dug or tried to dig deep into the ground. The stones are shattered and smashed, some wording is almost readable "beloved ***** child *****" but that is all that is readable.

Southwest Corner

This corner of the cemetery is misty and the fog is very thick. The trees are twisted and deformed as if feeding off the evil. The branches sway and claw towards anything that moves. The wind howls as the sounds of night screech and rip the mind. Was that an eye blinking, or was it just the darkness?

Along Western Wall

The iron and granite wall is overgrown with vines and oddly shaped flowers. The ivy vines grow up toward the night sky, the flowers' petals reach up to embrace the night. The grotesque statue heads rest on each pillar keeping watch over all the dead.

Open Grave

Beneath the opaque layer of fog, lies an open grave. The grave's headstone lies crooked and partially buried in the overgrowth of grass. A small mound of dirt has been dug through and bits of rotting flesh and bone protrude from underneath it. The wind howls in silent screams as fog creeps slowly down into the grave.

Grassy Trail

A small trail weaves its way around various headstones and statues. The trail is covered with grass and moss. The grass grows over and partially covers some of the headstones. The wind softly blows, having an eerie sound as it flows through the grass. The fog floats like a blanket in the breeze.

Twisted Trees

What gravestones that were here are now shattered and almost buried in the dirt. There are so many trees here, twisted and deformed. The branches and leaves are so intermixed with each other that it is hard to tell where one ends and another begins. Owls hoot, and screams are heard in the darkness of the night. The trees are almost alive as the branches twist and claw in the breeze. Strangely enough there is no fog, or maybe just a hint of it here.

Vine Covered Graves

Tall and grotesque headstones carved in gargoyles and demons dominate this part of the cemetery. These headstones are covered with a bright green vine, which has oddly shaped leaves. The vine crawls and clings to these gargoyles and demons. The night wind blows cool and swiftly by, these leaves flutter in the breeze. The fog seems to flow swiftly by, as a river would going to the sea.

Misty Grassy Spot

A nice and quiet spot in the cemetery, it is devoid of that chill breeze, and the fog is hardly noticeable here. The grass is soft and there is a small pond in the middle of the clearing. The pond does have a grotesque statue in the center, from its mouth flows a foul looking liquid. The air is filled with a misty moisture that leaves a slick but sweet slime behind. The statue in the pond is of a winged beast with fangs and razor sharp claws. If not for the misty air or the foul liquid in the pond, this might be a nice spot, at least in the light of day.

Western Wall

The iron and granite wall continues here, it is almost hidden by the strange shaped ivy, which is predominate in this cemetery. The red fog hangs here like a thick blanket. It is almost impossible to see over the wall. There are those grotesque statue heads all along the wall. Leering out of the fog, it is almost possible that the eyes move or they shift positions on the fence, but look again and they have not moved. What kind of trick of the night darkness could make the eyes see what is not really there, or does ones mind play tricks in the darkness of night?

Another Northern Corner

The iron and granite wall ends in the northern corner, and on this corner stands a full size statue of a winged gargoyle. The statue stands as if guarding and protecting. Its wingspan is hardly noticeable in the rising red fog, the fog billows up and over the top of the fence.

Misty Path

A small grass path is almost hidden in a misty red fog. The trees are dripping with dew, and the ground is quite moist and squishes underfoot. The trees loom over the path, their branches entwining to form an arch. There is a bit of moss and ivy growing over the path, and up the trees that line it.

Mossy Pebble Path

The mossy grass slowly gathers pebbles underfoot. The pebbles are scattered in a twisting path towards an iron door, covered with moss and dirt. The trees along the path have moss and ivy growing up them. Their branches having grown together and making an arch over the path.

Iron Door

One of the three iron doors that guard the tombs of those buried here. This door is engraved with a staff symbol over the handle. There are strange and arcane symbols engraved into the doors. The doors are solid iron with brass handles.

Moss Growth

Many trees line this spot in the cemetery, under the trees are many small graves. Most of these graves have headstones embedded in the earth. The dark of night permits no light to creep down through the trees. There is moss growing almost all over the headstones and up to almost the top of each tree. The branches of the trees are covered with moss and lichen which glisten with dew.

Mold And Moss Covered Headstones

More headstones are lined in neat rows. Each headstone is embedded in the ground marking each grave. The grass is overgrown and encroaching on the gravestones. The moss is thick as it grows up the side of all the trees. An odd smell hangs thick in the air, mixed with the coldness of the fog. The fog hangs in patches along the gravestones.

Moss Covered Wall

The moss and ivy grows up and over the iron and granite wall. There are many grotesque statues that are covered with ivy and moss. Each statue is of a demon or a gargoyle in positions facing inward as if protecting the cemetery's dead. The moss and ivy glisten in the wetness of the red fog, which floats up and over the wall, breaking free of guardians.

Twisting Grassy Path

A small and winding grass covered path weaves its way around and through the graves. The grass almost covers the path but bits of rocks and flowers and other plant life sprout up. All this adds a bit of rare color to an otherwise eerie and spooky place.

Another Pebble Pathway

The grass covered path becomes more and more made of pebbles and stones. Grass does still encroach up through some of the rocks as the path twists and turns in the northern direction.

Twisted Pebble Path

The path continues to twist and turn towards an iron door to the north. As the path gets closer to the iron door, the grass becomes dry and brittle. The fog is just a mist, a red mist which hangs like a shimmering curtain over the cemetery.

Iron Door

A large iron door has many symbols engraved on it. There is a symbol of a shield engraved above the handle. The door shows no sign of age. This is one of three large iron doors in the cemetery.

Scattered Grave Stones

The grass is very high here, almost knee high to a human, with the moss having grown wild and is everywhere. There are just a few headstones, the rest having been shattered into thousands of pieces, almost dust, and spread all about to mix in with the tall grass. Broken vases and old, dried flowers are scattered as if being tossed away in anger.

Twisted Grave Stone

How odd, the stones are undisturbed but are not lined up straight. Each one is turned or twisted in an odd direction. Some are even placed upside down or backwards. The ground is covered with a sticky moss, the grass is almost dead as the moss smothers it. Trees loom overhead and almost disappear into the night sky. Suddenly an owl flies overhead and moaning is heard on the night wind.

Unused Grave

Dirt is still piled along side this open grave. There are shovels tossed to the side, and a large headstone is flat down on the ground. The wind is hardly noticeable as the red fog softly floats towards the bottom of the grave. On either side of this grave are two oak trees, tall and covered with moss, their branches having become twisted together to form a canopy over the grave.

Twisted Growth

Along the southern wall, the plant life has become twisted and warped. The ivy grows up and over the wall of iron and granite almost completely covering the grotesque statues. The red fog is like a wave, it flows quickly up and over the wall.. Giving the statues an ominous look, the faces screaming in agony. The wind howls in whispers as it screams.

Southern Corner

The ivy is very thick here, having grown over and up the wall. The ivy smothers all other plants as it grows in all directions, gravestones are almost impossible to read without moving the plant life. The trees are becoming withered from the ivy as it drinks what nourishment is found in the earth. The ivy invades the safety of the wall, having all but covered all the grotesque statue guardians. The fog seems to feed the ivy as it washes up and over the iron and granite wall.

Heavy Red Mist

This is just about the complete center of the cemetery. The red fog is thick and hangs in the air like a misty blanket of darkness. Vision is obscured and the wind howls as if screaming. The mist is almost a light shade of blood red, it almost drips in droplets as it gets closer to the ground. The trees are dark and twisted, their branches reach out like arms. There are sounds of scratching and clawing which echo and seem to be all about. The moon is hardly visible in the darkness of the night and the thickness of the fog.

Misty Grass

A small path leads out of the thick fog, but the misty fog to the east floats in streams of liquid. The grass growing along the path is wet with dew, and the mushrooms and oddly shaped flowers growing along the path drip with wetness. There are even small puddles of reddish liquid formed beneath some of the mushrooms. The mist leaves a reddish sticky dew on the trees, slowly dripping down the trunks to form small puddles.

Overgrown Unused Graves

Oddly enough there are still places for the dead to be buried, but these graves have been forgotten. The open holes in the ground have become filled with grass and moss. The piles of earth used to fill them are overgrown with moss and oddly shaped fungus and mushrooms. Small bugs and worms seem to thrive these piles of dirt. Parts of the mushrooms have been eaten or broken away. The darkness of night and the mist of the fog make eerie and ominous.

Overgrown Ivy

Again, the ivy seems to grow out of control. The tree trunks are covered with ivy, dripping a reddish dew. The earth is covered with oddly shaped mushrooms and flowers, which thrive on the wet dew. The grass grows in all directions, and entwines itself with the moss. The moonless sky is eerie as it peeks through the fog.

Broken Tombstones

Broken and shattered granite gravestones are tossed about. The earth is clawed and raked into shreds, the grass has been ripped up and tossed aside. The headstones are broken and snapped into pieces. The trees have been clawed and moss and ivy ripped down and tossed in piles. Something has been ripping and destroying the trees, graves and headstones. What could have such power to shatter granite?

Open Grave

Barren and forgotten is this grave. A shovel lies half buried and the tombstone is broken and covered with moss. The fog dangles like a lucid blanket. The wind whispers in the moonless night of death, sorrow, and misery.

Pebble Path

A pebble path winds and twists its way toward an iron door to the north. The pebbles are embedded deep into the ground and bits of moss and strange mushrooms grow up from under them.

Dark Pebble Path

Moss and ivy almost cover the path as it continues toward the iron door just north of here. The pebbles underfoot are tightly packed with just a bit of grass sprouting up between them. Even here the red fog hangs in the air like a misty curtain.

Iron Door

Another of the iron doors that seal the tombs in this cemetery. This one has the symbol of a sword along side the key hole. The iron on this door seems to be a little rusted and show sign of the elements.

Large Tombstone

All but one tombstone is broken and shattered. The tombstone stands as a guarding along the wall. The grotesque winged demon which is carved into the tombstone matches those that are all down the length of the iron and granite northern wall. The misty red fog flows in the southern directions moving with the night wind. Grass and moss have grown up and through the other broken gravestone but have not even dared to encroach on the guardian like one.

Upheaval Of Earth

In this far corner of the cemetery lies the source of the eerie but constant red fog. The earth here is broken as by an explosion. The ground is burnt as if by fire or lightning. From the gaping hole in the ground bellows forth a glowing red fog. The wind howls as if in agony as it carries the fog forth to the rest of the cemetery. The screams of the dead and tortured echo out of the hole. The sound is almost unbearable, as it goes to every nerve and tears at the soul. Crows, the bird of night, fly all above, squawking as if to say... BEWARE.. lest the dead may claim another soul..

Vine Covered East Wall

The fog is just a misty wetness that hangs in the air like acid rain. The pools of reddish liquid that collect along the iron and granite wall give nourishment to the ivy and vines that grow up the wall. The ivy twisted and deformed, chokes the life out of any other plants that may once have grown here.

Twisted Growth

The ivy again is twisting and grows wildly. The eastern wall is covered with the plant. The ivy grows up and over the top of the wall. The statues that are along the top of the iron and granite wall are just green shapes of demons with wings, since they are completely covered with ivy. The fog is just a misty wetness which hangs like acid in the air. There are pools of reddish liquid along the ground, dew having dropped off the ivy and collected in small icy pools.

Twisted Ivy

Graves and headstones are completely covered with an ivy growth. The ivy leaves are oddly shaped and have a reddish dew dripping off of them. The ivy grows up the trees twisting into the fungus and moss. The ivy hangs off the branches of the trees like small nooses ready to hang any living thing. The cold night wind howls and the ivy flies about, like arms looking to strangle.

Partially Filled Grave

There is still some space to go down into the grave. It looks like something tried to crawl out...maybe something did. There is dirt and globs of grass scattered all about the area. The ever present misty fog clings to the gravestones. Screams of misery and pain echo in the wind.

Inside Open Grave

Fog floats down from above in misty tendrils, and spreads out along the bottom of the grave. The air is strong with the putrid smell of rotting flesh. Little red eyes glare out from the darkness. A dragging or shuffling of something moving invades one's hearing. Hair stands up and a chill is felt to the bone.

Clawed Out Space

Something with long and sharp claws, from the long claw marks left, dug out of this small space under the cemetery. The moist, sticky, and vile earth presses down to suffocate all living things. Bones and rotting flesh lie scattered on the ground. Feces is mixed with the soil, the odor burning with a sweet but foul scent. Worms and maggots squirm and ooze, thriving in this dark and dank grave.

Tunnel

An earthen tunnel dug many ages ago. Even here, the red fog floats gently, bringing moisture to the dry and forgotten tunnel. The clay walls stick to all that touch it as thin films of slimy clay move to allow a worm or bug to drop on the tunnel floor.

Forgotten Grave

Some poor, forgotten soul was once buried here, a casket that is now torn apart and broken is all that is left. A few bones still rest in the casket. The once fine cloth is torn and defiled with feces and urine. The sweet and sour smell of death and decay hangs strong and thick in the air.

Inside Grave

Fog drifts down from outside the grave like a mist of death. The ground is hard and cracked. There are rotting pieces of flesh scattered about the grave. The grave is overgrown with dry and dead grass.

Clawed Hole

What hideous claws could have left the long, deep and misshapen grooves that line all the wall of this hole. The misty fog swirls in ghostly shapes seeping in from the ground above. The stench of death and decay is overpowering in such a small space. The earthworms, slugs, beetles and even maggots slide and ooze in the earthen muck underfoot.

Tunnel

Leading from the grave is this tunnel. It's a tight fit but one or two bodies can crawl through. The odor of rotting flesh is very strong. The tunnel leads deep into the earth under the graveyard.

Tunnel's end

The tunnel opens up into this small space. It is used by some unholy undead creature. The ground is covered in old torn cloth, broken items are scattered about. There is a strong odor of old dried blood and rotting flesh. Claw marks are obvious as something tried to claw its way out of here.

Inside Grave

An open casket, with a decomposing body is overturned in the grave. The casket is ripped and torn to bits and pieces. The body is so badly mauled it is hard to tell how long it's been here. The grave has been clawed out of and maybe even back into. Nonhuman or nonliving screams echo as the wind blows outside.

Under The Grave

Claw marks mar the earth, and this small opening under the grave is a putrid mess. Rotting flesh and bone, with teeth marks lie tossed about. Dead and decomposing rodents reek, worms and maggots crawl under the rotten flesh. A pool of blood drips toward the wall, partially dried and thick. Shivers crawl up the spine, and hair stands on end as a cold draft crosses the floor.

Clawed Tunnel

What foul beast could have dug a tunnel with its claws? The tunnel dirt is hard as granite. The clawed imprints are deep and bits of flesh are still stuck in the walls. There are marks on the floor suggesting things have been dragged back and forth through here.

More Clawed Dirt

Who or what is digging here must not be done yet. There is still much to dig out and there are a few piles of dirt that look freshly dumped here. The same long and deep claws look to be digging here as well. The same stench is strong here and there are small droplets of something splattered here and there in this underground crawl space.

Iron Staircase

The iron staircase is cold but dry, and the stairs are covered with a fine layer of dust and cobwebs. The banister of the staircase is sticky with cobwebs. The air is cold and stale, and it doesn't look like this tomb has been opened in a long time. The stairs go down into the darkness, and a faint glow is seen at the bottom.

Bottom Of The Stairs

At the bottom of the stairs is a tunnel which has been carved into the earth, along the wall are sconces for torches. Seeing as most of these are empty, it is hard to tell where the glow of light is coming from.

Carved Earthen Tunnel

The tunnel continues into the earth. There are scraping sounds that echo all around. The tunnel floor has scratches and markings as if something walked back and forth along the floor. The light gets brighter here and toward the north.

Lit Intersection

All along this intersection are floating balls of light. Here the tunnel continues to the north into a room or down another tunnel to the east.

Underground Crypt

The tunnel opens up into a large room lined with crypts dug into the sides of the walls. Each crypt has a casket made of various kinds of woods and metals. Some of them are not in the best shape. This room also has stacked in the center many more coffins and caskets. These look to be empty, kind of a storage room along with being a place for the dead.

Crypt Tunnel

Along this long hallway are open crypts in the wall. Some of them have remains of bodies and some don't. There is a fine layer of dust along the floor. There is a little bit of light from down the tunnel to the west. An odd odor of death lingers here, but then again, it is an underground burial crypt.

Crypt Tunnel

Light from the west still illuminates this deep in the crypt. The walls on both sides of the tunnel are lined with caskets. Not all of these are still closed, some having been broken into and the bodies gone. A few of these have splotches of dark brown stained inside them, while others have bones scattered about them. The far north wall has no caskets, but is carved of stone. There is a small space in the wall, vaguely reminiscent of a skull.

Cobweb Crypt

A hidden crypt! Cobwebs cling to the walls and hang from the ceiling like a thick yet gossamer drape. Small spiders crawl along the webs, around the small bones and bits of other things sticking within the webbing. The dust lies thick on the floor, with many small, bug-like prints moving in all directions. A large coffin lies on the floor, covered with the same gossamer webs, an untouched burial shroud.

Enclosed Tunnel

Beyond the iron door stands this old tunnel. It has been dug into the earth and lined with iron and brick. Along the walls are torch sconces. Scrawled also on the wall are symbols and runes. What put them there, or what these things mean is lost in long ages past. The wind brings a chill to the air as it howls in silent agony along this long tunnel.

Long Crypt Tunnel

Earth has been carved and packed away to expose a long tunnel heading northward. The walls are covered with cobwebs and small reddish spiders. The air is stale and a chilly breeze blows gently.

Lit Tunnel

Along this long tunnel are torch sconces, in which are magical balls of light. Cobwebs are covering the wall and hang down from the ceiling. Small reddish spiders are abundant and thrive in the cobwebs. The balls of light give the whole tunnel a soft but eerie glow.

More Crypts

The long lit tunnel ends here in a large open room. The room is lined with rows and rows of crypts. These crypts are dug into the walls, inside each one is a coffin. Some of the coffins are opened and broken, the remains destroyed. The room is also full of many unused coffins and granite headstones. About half of these are beyond use, having been broken and decimated. Stains have been splattered all around the room, bits of old rotten flesh give the room a sweet but disgusting odor. There is another doorway to the east as well as heading back south toward the iron door.

Underground Hallway

Another long hallway dug out of the earth, it is a bit irregular and bits of grass and other vegetation still grow out of the wall. Cobwebs are scattered about clinging to the plant life. Small bugs and worms move and squirm along the floor and walls.

Hallway

The irregularly dug tunnel opens up into a long hallway, which has also been dug out but it has been lined with blocks of granite. There are balls of light hanging along the ceiling, giving the hallway an odd glow. The stale cold air is still and the silence of these tunnels is ominous.

More Crypts

The granite lined tunnel ends in another large open room, and the walls are lined with small crypts. These crypts are closed and covered with an iron grate. There are remains in each, anywhere from a full undecayed corpse to bones and ashes. Some of the crypts show signs of something trying to break into them, the iron grates are bent and stained with a sticky blackish ooze.

Twisting Hallway

Another long tunnel with an uneven floor and a growth of plants and moss. There are so many small bugs and spiders it is impossible to travel without squishing something. The moss hangs down from the ceiling like a curtain. The hallway twists and turns until it straightens out to the south.

Caskets & Coffins

The tunnel leads to a small room, which is filled with coffins and caskets. These have been almost utterly destroyed and are tossed all over the room. There is that sweet odor of decay and death seeping out of the room.

Dusty Hallway

Another long tunnel dug out of the earth, and packed tight to allow an even walkway. There are a few balls of light hanging along the ceiling giving a bit of light here. The sweet odor of decay is strong along this tunnel.

More Hallway

More long tunnel like hallway, dug out of the earth. The hallway here has been lined with granite, and cobwebs stick to the walls like glue. There are a few bugs crawling along the floor and spiders clinging to the webs. The eerie glow of the light from down east gives an ominous feeling to these tombs

Lit Iron Staircase

Just on the other side of the iron door is a staircase descending down into the depths of the earth. The staircase is lined with balls of light, engulfing the stairs in an eerie glow. There are cobwebs barely attached to the walls and ceiling, falling to the floor with but the lightest of touches.

Stone Coffin

At the bottom of the stairs is a large iron coffin surrounded by grotesque statues. The coffin rests in the center of the room, and at all four corners stands a demonic statue with outstretched wings and glaring facial features. The coffin lid is slightly off center from the rest of the coffin. In each corner of the room stands a brazier, in each is a ball of light, which provides the room with light. All along the coffin and wall are engraved into the iron strange symbols and runes.

Inside Coffin

The coffin is just a passageway which leads further down into the earth. The iron lid hid the stairs leading down. The iron stairs are devoid of dust and cobwebs. The stairs are cold to the touch and the silence is frightening

Bottom Of Coffin

Having reached the bottom of the coffin only to find a darkness and cold silence. The only way to go is back up or brave the darkness to the east.

Twisting Brick Hallway

A long and dark hallway of brick and earth tunnels into the earth. It twists and turns until finally coming to an intersection. There are rooms to the north and to the east, each one lit by a magical ball of light which floats along the ceiling.

Embalming Room

A large room, there is a large amount of heat coming from a grate in the floor, the closer one gets the hotter it becomes. In the center of the room is a long table, with a small table on top of it. There are bookshelves lining the east and south walls. Each bookcase has tools that were used to cut, and needles stuck into balls of thread. Tubes and stained bottles also are stacked in neat piles on the bookcases. On the top of the bookcases are spools of white, gossamer cloth. The tables are stained and have dried pools of reddish brown stains. The smaller table has a few knives and pieces of tubing. Steam rises from the grate in archaic designs, condensing in the cooler air above.

Dipping Pit

A small hole dug into the floor. The walls of this room are covered with a slick layer of wax, as well as the floor. The wax is very yellow and has bits of flesh, tubing and metal pieces within it. There are hooks and rope stuck in the wax. The only exit is up and one must climb or fly out.

Brick Hallway

A long, brick hallway leads north and south. The walls and floor are a bit warm, and small spiderwebs cling to the ceiling. A faint glow seeps into the hallway from somewhere north of here.

Brightly Lit Intersection

A highly lit, fourway intersection with passages leading east, north, south, and west of here. The light is from a large, glowing ball which hangs from the center of the ceiling.

Coffin Storage Room

A storage room, in which are stacked or leaning up against the walls are rows and rows of coffins. The coffins are in many sizes and shapes, some of them are broken or damaged, while others appear almost new. Dust and dirt have accumulated in the corners of the room, while cobwebs cling to the ceiling.

Blood Stained Crypt

This must have once been a burial crypt, but now it is utterly destroyed. There are bones, blood and flesh all about the room. Odor of death is strong here, as maggots and worms crawl inside the bones and flesh. Pools of blood have accumulated in the corners of the room. Bones are shattered and dripping with ooze and bugs crawl along them. There are runes painted onto the walls, a brownish stain, blood dries brown.
