If a god opens the arena, you will see an announcement. Please do NOT ask the gods to open the arena. They will do so when they have the time and inclination. The level range must include your highest level in order for you to get in.

To check the status of the arena, type 'arena info' and to enter the arena just type 'arena' and you will be automatically whisked off to play. You will be healed to full hit points, but all the spells previously cast on you will be dispelled. You will not be able to get out of the arena until either you die, or you are declared a winner and a god kills you. You cannot portal, get summoned, or astral from the arena.

You never quite reach death in the arena, but instead are whisked away to wherever you last rented, so you suffer none of the ill effects of death. Also, your items should stay with you.

Nothing you use up in the arena, such as potions, scrolls, wands, staves, or other limited use items, will be refunded. Your hitpoints and such will be refunded automatically..

No pets or taking equipment in the arena. When you enter the arena, look at the SIGN.
