Commands

Who

In the game: help who

who
who -g
who <letter>

Lists the people currently visible to you in the game. If you could not see them if you were in the room with them, they will not appear, so the list gets longer if you have 'detect invisibility' or 'true sight'.

Some gods may choose to remain unseen. If you can't see a god, chances are they do not wish to be disturbed. The -g flag will give you a list of all currently active (and visible) gods. Please consult this list before shouting "Is there a god on?"

Who followed by a letter or name will list all characters with that letter or set of letters starting their name.

[WAR] next to a name tells you they are a race warrior (pkiller). People who are invisible have (invis) next to there names. Gods who are wizard invisible have (I:<minimum level to see them>) next to their names. The LINKDEAD next to a person's name in who means they are polymorphed. Use the title command after level 20 to change your title.

The first column of who gives you a clue as to the character's average level. Newbie is 1-10, chump is 11-20, medium is 21-30, expert is 31-40, and adept is 41-50. Other titles, such as 'Newbie Immortal' or 'Lord of the Realm' are immortals, also called wizards or gods. Immortals can't give you equipment or help you earn experience.
