Set
In the game: help set
This command allows you to change some of your settings. The standard command is 'set <type> <field>'. Here are the types:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
autoloot [on/off] |
take the coins from what you kill |
autosplit [on/off] |
share those coins with your group |
autoexits <enable/disable> |
show the exits when you walk into a room |
group name <Group Name Here> |
name your group |
email <email@address> |
your email, shown by whois |
arena |
on or off: the arena's announcements |
cloak |
on or off: hide your equipment under your cloak |
'autoloot' and 'autosplit' With 'autoloot' on, you take the coins from the corpse (or the pile of dust) of every monster you kill; with 'autosplit' on, coins you loot or reap are shared with the players of your group in the room. Both are on to begin with, and the client's Settings pane has them too. 'set autoloot' alone turns it the other way. See AUTO-LOOT.
'autoexits' The type 'autoexits' will automatically display exit information for you when you walk into a different 'room'.
'group' The type 'group' uses the parameter 'name' to set your group's name. After 'name' give the name you would like for your group. Example : set group name The Wild Bandits!
Using 'gwho' you can see all the groups and their group names.
'email' The 'field' is your e-mail address. Others can see it with 'whois' on your name.
'arena' Turns the arena's announcements off, or back on.
'cloak' Pulls the cloak you wear about your body around you, so that those who look at you see only what shows outside it: your light, helmet, boots, shield, what you wear on your eyes, and a weapon too big to hide. Thieves have a hard time seeing what you carry, too. 'set cloak' again pushes the cloak back; taking the cloak off ends it. A transparent (invisible) cloak hides nothing. Immortals see through it.
